Building Capacity: HIV and HPV Community Outreach Seminar for Faith-Based Organizations

This seminar and tabletop exercise were sponsored and facilitated by the Philadelphia Department of Public Health (PDPH) Faith-Based Planning Group entitled, Building Capacity: HIV and HPV Community Outreach Seminar for Faith-Based Organizations. The event was made possible through funding provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and managed by the Philadelphia Department of Public Health (PDPH). Nursing and Social Work continuing education units were made available for seminar participants through the Health Federation of Philadelphia.
The PDPH Faith-Based Planning Group meets on a regular basis throughout the year to plan and conduct biannual public health emergency preparedness workshops targeted towards faith-based leaders and community-based organizations. Previous conferences have included the following:
