  • What is the Health Alert Network? The Health Alert Network (HAN) is an emergency notification system for public health, health care, and emergency response personnel. The Philadelphia Department of Public Health (PDPH) uses the HAN to deliver time-critical, health-related information to healthcare professionals. HAN messages may be issued by PDPH, the Pennsylvania Department of Health, or the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

  • What is the Medical Reserve Corps? The Philadelphia Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) is a group of more than 2,500 volunteers who serve the City during public health emergencies and large-scale events.
  • To learn more about and begin volunteering with the MRC, click here.
  • What is the Community Response Partner Network? The Philadelphia Department of Public Health (PDPH) maintains a network of community partners who can disseminate information to their members and neighbors during public health emergencies that affect the City of Philadelphia. These individuals will receive notifications about public health emergencies and will be asked to share this information with staff and the communities they serve.
